Understanding the difference between a stock’s current price and fair value could be the difference between a terrible investment and a great one. Great companies could be over or undervalued. EquitySet Fair Values try to help investors better understand whether or not they are.

What is it?

The Fair Value is the price target we have on the company. It is typically a short term price target (depending on market volatility) of 3-6 months. It can stand alone as an indicator of a buy or sell if that is how you wish to interpret it.

How is it Calculated?

It utilizes price and valuation trends and extrapolates them forward based on a multitude of different factors. This means that it not only looks at past trends but also aims to add projected / forward financial metrics into the price target itself.

How Often is it Calculated?

Every two weeks (on the 1st and 15th) the model recalculates and publishes a new fair value based on the last two weeks of price movements, new financial developments and hundreds of other variables going into the calculation.
